So Opium Pulses has a new look for 2018, unless you've been giving us the cold shoulder lately, we're sure you will have noticed our new lick of paint!Technically the site is still a work in progress and we very much consider what is presented so far to be in BETA state. This means not everything is finished and what is, might not work as expected, but we're working day and night to implement all the changes required to bring the quality to a level our customers and members expect.First, we'll go over a few of the big things we know

Wulverblade Review

Few genres were as prevalent in the 80s and 90s as the side-scrolling beat 'em ups. From Streets of Rage to The Simpsons, if you were playing games a few decades ago, you surely put some pocket change into these arcade cabinets, or played others on early home consoles. For the most part, the industry has moved away from the genre, with one coming out every now and then. It's early in the year, but however it'll be tough for any of them to be more impressive than Wulverblade.Wulverblade is a historical fiction game combining ancient British history with folktales told through the generations. As the

Tactera and Skylight Review

Tactera- It is a bird’s eye style domination game which puts you into a battle to defeat your enemy by raiding their base. The game starts by teaching you the basics of moving troops, there are three main troop types; Tanks, Artillery and Jets (air raid). The game then tells you that there is no friendly fire but still allows you to miss click onto our troops wasting the valid artillery. Once you select the militant you want to move, it gives you a directional line to say where they should go. This ,however, can be tedious as the artillery for

Wartile Review

I’m not usually one for tactics games because I consider myself a simple (read: dense) man, and so the term ‘tactical’ doesn’t really pique my interest that often. But Wartile also has the word ‘war’ in the title’, so I guess I had to check it out. For the record, Wartile bills itself as a tactical game based around cool-downs, in which you guide a bunch of Vikings. So let's get started immediately, when you start the game you start with some text, dive right into the tutorial, and then you get the hang of it fairly quickly. However, the game is

All Walls Must Fall Review

All Walls Must Fall is a techno-tactics game that allows you to hop into the boots of secret agents who can travel through time. Throw in some seriously good music, excellent visuals, and unique mechanics, and you've got quite the strategy gem coming out of Steam Early Access on PC.The story commences in Berlin, November 2089, where the Cold War never concluded. For more than a decade both parties have used time travel for espionage, but now they're scrambling to send agents back in time to find out who's planning to launch a nuclear strike and cause worldwide chaos. This is

Marble Run Review

Marble run is a simple game... really simple... too simple. More of a free game then an 8 euro one. So this review is gonna be simple aswell. So, I was unaware of this, but marble run is a popular hobby where you make a track and just let the little marble go through it. By the way I just described the whole game in one sentence, what do I type next?Well, you can create and save the tracks you made, or load in other peoples tracks. What's bad about it? Everything is too simplistic, and it doesn't feel or look like

Bombastic Cars Review

Bombastic cars is a failed attempt at the "Twisted Metal" Genre, to save you some time, it's bad. Really bad. If you wanna see why, keep reading. So, let's list some major problems this game has. The game UI is not linked with steam and relies on using your email addresses to invite friends, which means you have to make an account on some unknown website so you can play the game. Once me and my friends did that I saw that only 5 of us were actually playing the game, so the playerbase is non-existant. Then we were driving... and the

Signs of Darkness Review

Just a heads up, this and a couple of future reviews are gonna be really short because the games aren't that complex and I just can't really say much about them. So here's a review about a VERY early access game called Signs of Darkness. This game is such an early access that it is not worth buying at the moment. While it may strive to offer interesting and fluid combat and introduce rpg elements that will hold your attention, it fails to actually deliver. Maybe with time, but for now its a no. Yes, it might look good, but trust me,

Hand of Fate 2 Review

“Every failure in combat can be balanced by success on the table,” That quote basically sums up what Hand of Fate 2 is all about, you can have bad luck with cards but still win because you fought good, or you can lose fights but can have luck with cards.Hand of Fate 2 is made up of two interwoven gameplay styles: a Dungeons & Dragons style tabletop, text-based dungeon crawler; and a hack and slash action game. It is divided into 22 challenges, each having their own individual narrative. Your character remains the same throughout Hand of Fate 2, but the

Defunct Review

Sonic The Hedgehog fans - listen up. There's a game called Defunct that's gonna fit all your speeding needs. As I said, Half Sonic the Hedgehog, half Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Defunct is a surprisingly fun little indie game for PC.  The game is billed as an adventure game with a focus on flow and speed yet while I feel that those statements are in the wrong order, they are more or less accurate. In Defunct, you take control of a poor little robot with a broken engine.  You live in a giant flying cargo ship and on your travels you are accidentally jettisoned.  This is when
