Dinner Date Review

Dinner Date is a Simulator game that features supposedly a date that features not breakfast nor lunch. It plays on your hope. This article will not only review the quality of the game but also a brief discourse of the genre as a whole and its mechanics in the place of the market. The screenshots are taken from the game's steam store as there are some issue taking pictures in-game.According to the developer himself, Jeroen Stout, this game began as a school project. It finally turned into a product on steam with a price tag that seems controversial to many. The price may

Sword of Legends Online Review

SOLO originally released in China in 2019, and just made its grand appearance in the west earlier this month. I was excited to jump in, and dove head first. It was a bumpy road with awkward translation, but overall it was beautiful and engaging—everything I want in an MMO.Reviewing a base MMO under regular circumstances is no small task. There is questing, levelling, dungeons, raids, pets, gearing, customization, UI’s and more to think of. That is all true with Swords of Legends Online, but this time we are starting from scratch, with no previous understanding of the game. It would take

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons Review

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is an experiment on the potential of controllers servicing as a unique and refreshing gameplay experience as well as the testament of trust towards the players’ intelligence in understanding semiotics by confidently telling a story without an understandable language, verbal or written, all soaking in a beautifully crafted art style. On the SurfaceIt is an adventure game with beautiful scenery filled fully on the screen without a single distraction from the UI (or the lack thereof) all the way from the menu till the credits roll. It is certainly eye-candy wherever you look. Knowing this,

Before We Leave Review

Coming in at a surprisingly small 1.3GB, there’s a whole solar system’s worth of city-building crammed within Before We Leave. This is a non-violent city builder, which means it has all pillars of a 4X game, except for the eXterminate mainstay. Balancing Monkey Games have made a game that’s both accessible for newcomers, but still offers enough depth for the hardcore. Before We Leave is as gorgeous as it is grand, and it only gets more enjoyable the more time you spend with it.Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Before We Leave sees how fifty peeps (hey, that’s what the game calls them) re-learn

Pile Up! Box by Box Review

Pile Up is a family-friendly couch co-op 3D plaformer where players control boxes and must solve small puzzles to advance. The game looks good but does it deserve its 96% positive reviews on Steam (at time of review)? Most of the puzzles in the game are related to out-of-reach platforms and you need to use boxes to reach those places. There are different kinds of boxes (which are nicely introduced one by one) that you can gather and use to create stairs and such. While playing solo, there are always enough boxes to be able to go everywhere by yourself. In co-op

Rune II Decapitation Edition Review

Rune II is a Viking third person adventure game, where your goal as the chosen warrior is to save Midgard by fighting all sorts of creatures, beasts and warriors to gain strength and resources needed to whoop Loki ass. Other than that, it's basically not much more than a hyped disappointment and a great example why old gems should be left untouched and moved on from. The first instalment of the series (yeah, you guessed it - Rune) was released back in 2001 and was not continued for 19 years. Initially it was picked up by the original developers, but even they decided

Memories of a Vagabond Review

Few words about the gameMemories of a Vagabond may not be the best one RPG available on the market, but for sure is one of the most interesting ones around. You play the role of a young guy, whose soon-to-be wife was kidnapped, and your quest is to rescue her with help of allies you met on the way. Cliché, I know. One thing that surprised me was unique idea of "dying" and switching between souls, really liked that one. For me, it was quite enjoyable ride, especially that in past I used to play one RPG after another, so it

Mayhem in Single Valley Review

A peaceful morning turned chaotic that forces you to travel across a single valley stumbling upon a mysterious plot hidden in the town seemingly involves endangering every single soul in the valley and it’s up to you to correct the course in battles without a fight, puzzles without a hint, in a world coated in pixel arts and 8-bit music.Story as the Context for All the MechanicsMayhem in Single Valley is exactly what the title suggests - in a single valley a chaotic incident happens that causes mayhem in which you are somehow involved and it is up to you to

It came from space and ate our brains Review

I swear I didn't mind pink before I played this game...It came from space and was all pink. The game doesn't quite deliver on the brains eating part. I mean it does say your brain was eaten when you die, but I was expecting something more from a game which has brain eating in its title. An animation that demonstrates how a brain is eaten on your character and what becomes of it afterwards? No, the pink aliens do eat brains, but for you they'll make a merciful exception and just kill you.Okay, maybe I am nitpicking. After all, It came
