El Paso, Nightmare Review
El Paso, Nightmare works both as an appetizer for the upcoming game El Paso, Elsewhere and as a throwback to old-school shooters. You may have heard this one a lot already, with many games that sell themselves as tributes to the bygone era where Doom and Quake were all the rage. Unfortunately, there is so much to choose from nowadays that it’s hard to ignore some glaring flaws and lack of polish, despite a catchy oddball attitude and almost nonstop gameplay. El Paso, Nightmare tries hard, but like its protagonist Luis Rojas, it becomes trapped in a maze of inconsequential shooting. The

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed review
Ghostbusters is the kind of source material that is screaming to be turned into a videogame, and we’ve had our share of them in the past, most of them middling. IllFonic’s Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed probably isn’t going to be the one to go down in history, although there’s some fun ghostbusting to be had in this asymmetrical multiplayer take on the franchise.Who You Gonna Call? When we think asymmetrical multiplayer, two names instantly come to mind: Dead by Daylight from Behaviour Interactive, and Friday the 13th: The Game from Illfonic. It makes perfect sense that the latter was tasked with breathing new
Incision Review
Doom and Quake paved the way to the future of first-person shooters and it’s impossible to forget how revolutionary they were at the time. With the current and apparently enduring love for everything retro-inspired, it’s not unusual to find a game that pays tribute to these classics. Incision is exactly that, a love letter to id Software’s greats, an old-school shooter that skips straight into the action and will make you want to tear your hair out of frustration. But that’s what the doctor ordered, right?Blast from the PastIncision is all about speed and superhuman reflexes. The mere act of walking
It came from space and ate our brains Review
I swear I didn't mind pink before I played this game...It came from space and was all pink. The game doesn't quite deliver on the brains eating part. I mean it does say your brain was eaten when you die, but I was expecting something more from a game which has brain eating in its title. An animation that demonstrates how a brain is eaten on your character and what becomes of it afterwards? No, the pink aliens do eat brains, but for you they'll make a merciful exception and just kill you.Okay, maybe I am nitpicking. After all, It came
