Retro Dose #4 - Icy Tower
In todays Retro Dose we remember the hilariously addictive game that won the whole world - Icy Tower.A funny arcade game Icy Tower is a free freeware title by a development studio with an equally humorous name - Free Lunch Design, released in 2001 for PC and Mac. Those who played it remember that the goal of the game was incredibly easy - jumping on an infinitely high ice tower as much as you can before you fall and destroy your sweet sweet combo. In order of variations, the theme of the platform on which you jumped changed every 100 floors,

Retro Dose #3 - Postal
One of the most brutal games ever made is the theme of our new Retro Dose, and the only thing that beat that silly, sadistic fun is its sequel - Postal 2 in 2003.In 1997 a group of enthusiasts gathered in Arizona under the name Running With Scissors decided to make a game that is primarily supposed to suit their own taste. I believe that they themselves did not realise they would make such a sick game that the whole gaming community, various psychologists and psychiatrists and numerous supporters campaign to ban violence in video games will talk about it for

Retro Dose #2 - Duck Hunt
Today we talk about the best-known NES game compatible with the Nintendo Zapper controller (also the only one that worked properly with it).Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you - Duck Hunt. Duck hunt is the most representative game on Nintendo's Zapper and one of the most popular NES games ever, and that is why it has a secured cult status through references in numerous films, TV series, magazines and other video games. It came out in 1984 in Japan and, a year later, sailed on American soil where it gained unprecedented popularity and made a good foundation for sales in Europe,

Retro Dose #1 - Ghosts'n Goblins
You think games like Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are hard? Then you probably never played Ghosts'n Goblins, a game which was (and still is) so hard that it impressed many but also destroyed the social lives of players around the world. It's the year 1985 and the world just got one of the most difficult games ever - Ghosts'n Goblins, which was originally an arcade machine, but later it was transferred to NES and other home consoles so it can spread the frustration all around the world. Ghosts'n goblins is so infamous for its difficulty, that it shares the place at

Dark Souls III's Ringed City Review
After the cool yet lackluster Ashes of Ariendel DLC, Dark Souls III has released quite a powerful adventure in Ringed City. The DLC features everything from badass knights to cleverly designed monsters, a healthy amount of secrets, upgrade items and rings, annoying bad guys and huge Boss fights.FULL SPOILERS AHEAD.The DLC starts by exploring the Kiln of the First Flame a little more, using the impossible space as the backdrop for a few fights and some interesting encounters. Also serving as the start of Lapp's questline which would surely be appreciated by some. After dealing with annoying Angels, awesome jumps, hidden

I have never heard of "Gah!" before but it sounds like my kind of game!
Thank you the review, Green!
For someone who quite likes Roguelite games and dying over and over, like myself, this sounds quite fun and unique with some of the features you have described. This is one for my wishlist!

I might give this game a go!
It definitely sounds like my type of horror game.
Thank you Lily for your review. I wasn't sure if I should give it a try but I think I might enjoy it.

I have looked into this game before and I was curious to know what people thought of it.
The concept sounds interesting but clearly the outcome was not the best.
Thank you so much Green for your review! Hopefully the developers will publish more titles with similar themes but where they work more on the world instead of focusing only on the main character and main story.
From your review, it sounds like the game might be OK if you want a quick game with not much to explore, but maybe not for the price given... I don't think I would pay that much for 2 hours of content for something that does not seem to offer much replayability.
Great review, Green!
