The Weird World of Peripheral Rhythm Games

Peripheral instrument-based rhythm games really became a thing (at least in the west) during the mid-2000s, with Red Octane’s (and later Activison’s) ‘Guitar Hero’ title for the Playstation 2. But between 1999 and 2007 Konami had already been releasing various versions of their GuitarFreaks, DrumMania, KeyboardMania and BeatMania games for Playstation consoles in Japan. Konami Anniversary Collections Coming This Year

Konami is bringing three anniversary collections to all modern platforms this spring and summer. The first will be an arcade collection, featuring 80s arcade classics such as Gradius and Salamander etc. The second and third will bring eight games from the much loved Castlevania and Contra series.In celebration of Konami's 50th anniversary, the company has decided to put forth three retro-collections of games. Konami Shows off Metal Gear Survive Gameplay

KONAMI here shows off a 15 minute Demo of it's newest title Metal Gear Survive. In the Gameplay Video, KONAMI shows off 4 players completing both an "Attack" and "Defense" mission as well as show off how to capture... a sheep? The entire video is in Japanese.
