House Builder Review

In House Builder, developed by FreeMind S.A., you take on the role of a one-man construction crew. Your goal is to travel around the world and build houses in many unique styles and from many different eras. The main strength of this game is in variety. You can build everything from mud huts in Africa to bamboo houses in a rainforest, construct a medieval castle, renovate a farm in America, or build an ecological house in Europe, that is powered by solar panels. Often your task is not only to build houses but also to procure building materials with a wide

Genopanic Review

Metroidvanias have always been a genre that gave birth to a lot of indie hits, I've enjoyed my fair share of them but some were too much of a slog to go through as you usually hit that progression wall where the difficulty spikes so much you just give up and jump to the next game. Thankfully Genopanic is the good kind, where every time you die, you know that it was your fault and that you can pass the puzzle/boss/room if you're just a little bit more careful. One thing that you immediately see when you start playing is the fluidity

Anomaly Agent Review

I am going to keep this review short and sweet - just like Anomaly Agent is, and say that this is probably one of the best indie games I've ever played. Every system in this game seems simple but has certain depth to it and the story is unique enough that it keeps you hooked throughout the four-five hour campaign. The start it simple, you're an agent tasked to get rid of some time anomalies that popped on in some places, but later on the story goes bonkers and at the end of the game you're presented with a choice that changes

Paperman - Adventure Delivered Review

3D Platformers have always had a special place in my heart. Games like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Super Mario 64 etc. Every time I try a new one I end up liking it, now, I don't know if it's because of nostalgia or because they're really good games, but I was thinking the same is going to happen with Paperman - Adventure Delivered. Boy, was I wrong? This game was a pain to finish, and even more of a pain to play.3D platformers should be a joy to play, you should be able to just kick back and run around open areas

Arcade Tycoon Review

Arcade Tycoon is a business management simulation that was released on Steam in 2021 (after some time in Early Access) and rereleased on Nintendo Switch in January of 2024. I recently tried out the Switch version. This game is centered around nostalgia. The pixel graphics with their isometric view and grid-based object placement give off the feel of some of the classic "Tycoon" games, and the background music has a retro quality that imitates old-school themes. Machines and other items available to acquire for your gaming center are full of gaming references in title and design, and the general look and feel
