Our giveaway platform is built with the same basic structure as SteamGifts or SteamCompanion, so there is no option for us to build first come, first served functions in to this platform before it ends. I'm afraid all keys must go and until all 10,000 keys are accounted for at the request of the developer then the time will be extended. Truth be told, we expected all entries to be filled a lot sooner (lesson learned).
We apologise for the wait, but please know we only wish to give our members no strings attached free games with no social hoops to jump through and hope that you'll be patient, knowing you will eventually get your free key and be able to enjoy the game.

There's no way to prevent people from entering free-for-all giveaways, it's part of our design that we do not restrict anyone from entering giveaways, even if they already own the game. So a second giveaway could be swamped by users who already won the first. Otherwise, this would be a great solution - it sadly just wouldn't be right.

You guys need to apply the "first entered, first served" rule here because you didn´t respect the time you posted on Steam (24 hours). This is the second time you guys add one more day. So Its 3 days already. The ones who entered at first will feel deceived If they don´t win (including myself).

First come first served may be a feature we could implement in future but right now is doesn't exist and is not something we could develop, test and implement in the time remaining. This is a 1-2 weeks job at best. So while we agree this is something that would help avoid these issues in future we honestly believed this giveaway would reach 10,000 entries in a very short period of time as most of our 10k giveaways on launch finished in under 24 hours.
We've learned from this and will play it differently next time, but we'd like to assure our members that the giveaway will manually finish on or soon after 10,000 entries so the likelihood of any members who joined not winning is extremely low.

If you're expecting to get 4,337 people enter the giveaway in 2 days then you're joking with me. As i said before those who joined before extending the giveaway should have gotten their keys, its a shitty feeling when you go to the page and you see what was 10 minutes left changed to 2 days, it leaves us feeling ripped off it's simply unpleasant, if you didn't do this no one would be calling you liars and getting mad at you here in the comments, if you ever shared this giveaway with a friend they saw it was about to end entered it and see the time was extended so they start thinking that this whole site is fake, so either give us the keys or shorten the time that's all i have to say.

As much as I understand everyone's frustration seeing the timer extend, at this point we really don't have much choice. The developers asked for 10k keys to go to 10k gamers, if this were to end now or a second giveaway be made, many users would get more than 1 key.
Because of this, we must wait until all keys are accounted for before we can manually finish the giveaway and begin distributing keys to the winners. We've learned a lot from this giveaway and will do things much differently next time, especially given the feedback by our community. Remember our giveaway platform is still young and we're constantly trying ways to improve.

The moment we notice the entries rise above 10,000 we will end the giveaway and begin distributing keys. If anyone is left without a key, we'll personally contact them to offer compensation (even if all they gave us in return was a mouse click). We're forever trying to improve and have learned a lot from this giveaway, your voices are not going unheard.

To avoid pushing the end date back until we reach enough entries, we have put a cap on entries at 10,000 - meaning the very moment the last key is claimed, the giveaway will end and beginning distributing the keys to winners. This means the negative is that you'll have to wait longer and the positive is that every single person who enters is guaranteed to win!
After a lot of shtstorm and (probably) my comment in Steam to the Community Manager - FINALLY! Thank you opiumpulses for the cap! I had bet a million that I was someone of the poor bastards who wouldn´t win a key if more than 10000 people would enter! Thank you. :)

You're welcome. We hold our hands up here and say that we handled this giveaway completely wrong and it will NOT happen again. The developer wanted the giveaway to end on a particular day to celebrate the release from early access and we naively assumed this was more than achievable based on our launch day number, we won't make assumptions like that lightly again. We're happy now that at least anyone who might have felt negativity towards us during this promotion, will at least feel a little better when their guaranteed key finally arrives

How the situation has been handled here is hilarious. The developer constantly gives away thousands of keys on several other sites and each of them did it better than this one. I'm covered too now btw and if I could, I'd revoke my entry here.

Those sites have been running for years with a lot more experience under their belts, our platform has basically only just come out of beta. I've mentioned above a few times that this giveaway taught us a lot, specifically how we'll do things differently in future. Yet despite now being "covered" you still felt the need to return and explain how hilarious it was that we tried something new. I'm just saying, we aren't only a giveaway site, if we were we'd have probably had every feature under the sun developed by now, but we aren't and all we can hope is that we improve as time goes on.
