Paranormal Clean Up Review
Developer Manic Mice, who have brough a fair share of horror titles to the table have done it yet again. True to their specialty, Paranormal Clean Up throws you into the shoes of one of four cleaners, sent to take out the trash on both a physical- and perhaps "spiritual" level. Players familiar with more traditional job simulators will feel right at home, and perhaps fans of titles such as Paranormal Activity will as well. Though personally, I found this much more of a unique twist off of a cleaning sim than the other way around. So while there may be
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Review
Ready for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33? This game has everything you could want! Stunning graphics, a beautiful story, and great gameplay, but let’s go back to the beginning. The story is about a group of heroes on a desperate mission to stop a mysterious entity known as the Paintress. Each year, she awakens to paint a number on her monolith, and anyone of that age or older turns to smoke and vanishes. This year, the number is 33. And so the story begins. The first thing you'll notice when launching the game is its breathtaking visuals. Personally, I’ve never paused a game just to
Hawthorn Early Concept Demo Review
Fans of cozy games, adorable critters, and the Redwall series rejoice! After many years of wishfully dreaming, NEARstudios (consisting of former Bioware and Bethesda developers) has brought us Hawthorn. While still very early in development, this little cozy town of critterfolk looks like something right out of a dream, absolutely making this game a dream come true for many. Gaining a start on Kickstarter, Hawthorn has absolutely crushed it's goals. Though the main campaign itself has ended, pledges are still open to try and hit some of the amazing stretch goals they have in place. One of the main goals they
Night Swarm Review
Another contender to the roguelike genre, Night Swarm is an interesting take on a fairly popular genre. That being said, the gritty cell shaded appearance of their title is nothing new to developer Fubu Games, as their other title Rogue Loops follows the same niche in terms of art direction. Using a very interesting dynamic of miniatures moving along a diorama, you are an awoken vampire lord, looking to earn your name, as well as bolster allies.Hey, you. You're finally awake.Besides it’s unique approach to visual style, not much has changed from the typical roguelike formula here. You can upgrade your
DEADZONE: Rogue Review
Deadzone: Rogue is a roguelike FPS that takes you into the depth of space. Waking up with no recollection of who you are, or even WHERE you are, make your way through waves of enemies both mechanical and biological to figure out what the hell has happened and why you're here. Both developed and published by Prophecy Games, they've come into the FPS Roguelike space with guns blazing. As a massive fan of the genre, I was eager to sink my teeth into this one, and what I thought I was walking into did NOT end up being what I walked
