Call of Cthulhu Game to be Released Next Year

The infamous tales from H.P. Lovecraft’s world of horror will be recreated as a video game, namely that of Cthulhu, with Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive bringing just that on 2017.

Focus originally teamed up with Sherlock Holmes developer Frogwares to announce the project through a bunch of concept art, though the title went silent for two years. The project seems to be resparked though, as Tech Times notes that it will be “based on the long-running pen and paper RPG of the same name.”

“On a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island, the player will soon uncover a more disturbing truth as the Great Dreamer, Cthulhu, prepares its awakening,”

Focus tweeted the photo announcing Call of Cthulu's development here.

Quoted from Focus Home Interactive president Cédric Lagarrigue:"We are deeply honored to be partnering with Cyanide again. They’ve grown alongside us for the past 10 years to become today one of the best independent developers in Europe. With titles such as Styx: Master of Shadows and the Blood Bowl series, they’ve proved their creativity and ability to offer strong gaming experiences in original worlds."

Cyanide CEO Patrick Pligersdorffer had this to say:

Quoted from Pligersdorffer:“We are happy that Focus entrusted us with the development of a video game adaptation of the legendary RPG Call of Cthulhu. As long-time fans of the license, working with longtime partner publisher Focus Home Interactive on such an original and exciting project is, once again, a privilege. We hope to offer fans the game they’ve long been waiting for.”

Capcom to Punish Street Fighter V Rage Quitters

Rage quitters are an evil present in every good video game. The fly at the fast food store, the pimple on the baby's bottom, the lego brick on the floor of justice. Throughout the history of gaming, certain developers have taken measures to curb this despicable practice, and Capcomplans to join the club with Street Fighter V.

Quoted from Capcom Unity blog:"Yes, we are well aware of the problem of players disconnecting before the match ends to retain their League Points and their win streaks. Thanks to all of the players who have brought this to our attention.

We are working on a permanent solution to this problem, though we don’t have an exact date to share with you at the moment. That said, we are going to take direct action starting next week to punish those players who are abusing the system."

Capcom requires players to record instances of rage quitting though, which is somewhat...a questionable decision on their part.

Microsoft Holo-Lens Pre-Orders to Come with Three Video Games

Microsoft Holo-Lens is much anticipated worldwide, though not much has been revealed due toMicrosoft's insistence of secrecy. Despite all the secrecy, they've revealed three video games which comes along with the pre-orders, namely Young Conker, RoboRaid and Fragments

Quoted from Microsoft Corporate vice president Kudo Tsunoda:"Fragments blends the line between the digital world and the real world more than any other experience we built. When your living room has been used as the set for a story, it generates memories for you of what digitally happened in your space like it was real. It is an experience that bridges the uncanny valley of your mind and delivers a new form of storytelling like never before."
